UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST IN CAREER: RECEIVING THE SAVIOUR’S SEED

PASTOR’S CORNER
UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST IN CAREER:
RECEIVING THE SAVIOUR’S SEED
REFERENCES: GENESIS 47: 15- 23, II CORINTHIANS 9:10, ISAIAH 55: 9-11, OBADIAH 1:21, ISAIAH 1:19

The bible declares that saviours shall come up to mount Zion [ESV], signifying that there are saviours.

However, every saviour is from the Saviour.
It is to the saviours that Jesus said, he that receiveth you receiveth me (Matt 10:40).

Joseph was a type of Jesus in the Old Testament.
Like Jesus, he was betrayed and sold.
Like Jesus, he was a saviour.

Gen 47:15-23
And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? For the money faileth. And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail…and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.

Money has failed in our world.
In the place of wealth, trouble, wrath, and death, money has failed.
It’s claims to power has been proved to be a lie.

Only Jesus never fails. In Him, true security is assured.

The people came to Joseph, because they realised that money had failed.
However, rather than ask for seed, they came for bread.

Brethren, do not come to TRPM looking for bread- the display of signs, miracles and acts that only give temporary satisfaction.
Instead, seek to get the Saviour’s seed.

When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, we will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh…

Joseph represents Pharaoh, as Jesus represents God.
This means that he bought the people for Pharaoh, as Jesus bought us for God.

Let Jesus buy you for God.
You are bought with a price. (I Cor 6:20)
Whoever is not bought by Jesus is not born again.

When you surrender your life to Him, let it be to receive His seed, and not just to get the bread.

The Saviour can only give seed to those that have been bought.
Until you are bought, there is no seed for you.

There is a kind of seed that you cannot get from anywhere else. No level of education or technical skills that you have acquired, in business or in career, can give you access to this seed.
The seed of divine power, wisdom, breakthrough; that will make you stand out, that will make you unstoppable; that will make you a minister in your field of expertise.

When you acknowledge that your life is no longer yours, and you give the totality of your whole life to Him, He will give you His seed in every aspect of your career.

Then, you will truly live. You will move from the realm of mere existence to truly living- you and your career.

Then Joseph said unto the people, behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for your, and ye shall sow the land.

The transaction that took place between Joseph and the people was by words.
The people offered themselves by the words of their mouth, and Joseph bought them through verbal agreement.

This is why confession is very important. No matter what you believe, you must confess it with your mouth. Declare, and let it be known that you are the LORD’s.

II Cor 9:10
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.

The Saviour gives seed to saviours.
Therefore, whoever will save you out of your mess will give you seed.
The saviours- pastors and ministers of God- come to give you seed.

However, if you go them, seeking only bread- signs, miracles, and nothing more- then know this: there is no seed in the bread, but there is bread in the seed.

Seek the seed.
Whoever gives you seed has also given you bread in the seed. All you need to do is process the seed to get the bread.

The famine in Egypt did not stop because Joseph stored bread. It stopped because the people received seed from Joseph and sowed in their lands.

Whenever you receive the seed from the altar, go home and sow it; in your marriage, body, business, finances. As you sow the seed in your life, you will get the fruit thereof.

Be wise therefore, and seek the seed of the saviour.

Isa 55: 9-11
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give deed to the sower, and bread to the eater

Two types of people come to the church of God: the sower and the eater.

Those who want to change situation of things in their world; who want to change lives, come to church to get the seed of God.

However, those who do not care for changing lives and destinies seek for, and get bread.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth

God says His ways and thoughts are higher and different from ours.
It is also written that He had made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel (Ps 103:7)

How then does He show His ways and thoughts?

When you know the ways of God, you become an unstoppable mystery to your world. You will succeed, wherever you are taken to, because of what you know. However, if all you seek are His acts, you may not be able to sustain what you get, because you do not know the way.

The way is the seed; the acts is the bread.

The ways and thoughts of God are revealed through His word.
So, if you desire to know His ways, you must be ready to hear His word.

This means that the Word is the seed; and the outcome of obeying the Word is the bread.

Isa 1:19
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land

The good fruit of the land is the bread. It is the product of applying the seed of the Word to your land.
In the wilderness, He gave them seed- what they called manna.
It was their responsibility to process the seed, by grinding or pounding, in order to get bread out of it.

Jesus, the True Bread, gives Himself to us as Seed- the Word. It is our ability to process Him as Seed that determines how much of Him as Bread, we enjoy.

When you have the seed, you become a minister, because He gives seed to those who seek to sow into their world- to touch lives and impact destinies; to rescue their world from captivity.

…it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

…it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. [AMP]

When He gives you His seed, you will prosper, no matter where you are. In the place of famine, of extreme circumstances, and great opposition, you will enjoy prosperity because the Word never returns useless, but always prospers.

We have learnt that the software for the warfare that we are engaged in, is the mystery of God’s word. Until the software is installed in your soul, you have no language or word to conquer the war against your world.

You have the seed. Do not play with it. Do not waste it. Sow it into the soul of your soul, body, marriage, business, and your world.

As you sow into your life, be sure to fumigate your land. Get rid of every pest-like presence around your life, so that the seed can increase in fruitfulness.

It is time to receive the seed of God into your life.

Joseph was careful to ask what the people wanted. As per their request, he gave them bread, even though he knew the bread could not sustain them.
When a man chases after miracles, he does not understand that wickedness which frustrated his miracle at the first, would rise against him again, and since he lacks the Word to defend the miracle, he would inevitably lose it.

However, if he had the seed of the Word, he would be able to sustain the miracle that the Word produces, because the source of a things also sustains it.

PRAYER POINTS
In the name of Jesus,
Holy Ghost, I give You my life.
Holy Ghost, give me Your seed.
My life, receive the fire of God.
My life, receive the raw fire of God, that cannot be conquered.
My life, I fumigate you with the fire of God.
Any contamination of darkness, any ancestral spirit and power around my life; I terminate you by fire.
Any agenda of the wicked against my glory; I terminate by fire.
Any negative seed sowed into my life; your time has expired. Dry up and die by fire.
Any evil seed planted into my life, that has become an evil tree; I terminate and destroy you by fire now.

THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST IN CAREER: THE ANOINTED HOUR IN CAREER

PASTOR’S CORNER
THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST IN CAREER:
THE ANOINTED HOUR IN CAREER
REFERENCES: JOHN 2:1-11, DANIEL 4:7-9; 5: 9-11, PROVERBS 27:29, I THESSALONINS 2:14-16

Whenever you see Christ, the anointed One, in your career- as a pastor, daddy, mummy, businessman, in whatever role you have been called to play- you will strive for the best.

As you strive to reveal and enthrone Christ in your career, you must be aware that there are anointed hours in every Christian’s career.

You must be conscious of the moment that is anointed for your life. That is why you seek God; to know, and to work in that holy, power-filled hour.

Jn 2:1-11
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

Jesus was invited to a wedding as an ordinary guest.
In the course of the feast, the wine was exhausted.

As a Christian, you must be aware that, there will be a time, an hour, when the wisdom, expertise, and capacity of your boss will finish. Understand that, that moment is a set up for you to manifest Christ in your world.

This is the reason for waiting on the LORD. You fast and pray, in anticipation of, and preparation for that anointed hour.

When the time comes, you will laugh while others cry, because the hour you have been waiting for, has come.

While others are overwhelmed by the problem before them, you will confidently step in to provide the solution, because you have prepared for this moment.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

Wherever you are, always be conscious of God’s hour.
Once you are convinced that you are where God has called you to be, refused to be moved or distracted by the noise around you.
Take the time of perceived obscurity to prepare for that divine hour.

When the hour comes, you will spring up, and suddenly, you will become indispensable to your world.

His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

When the hour comes, He will speak. Be ready to hear and obey Him.

Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

When the hour had come, Jesus ordered the servants to take of the water in the pots to the governor of the feast.

Now, there is an issue.
Jesus is the true Governor of the feast. It should have been Him seated at the place of honour.
Instead, He and His disciples were relegated to stay outside during the party.

This scenario is common to many Christians.
Like Jesus, they have been relegated, and treated as outsiders, in a world where they are called to govern.

Jesus needed to showcase His true identity, and declare His true position.
However, He did not make a scene about it. Rather, at the anointed hour, He revealed Himself as the true Governor.

When the guy set as governor tasted the wine that was produced by the Governor, he was confounded.

Oh, and he sent for the bridegroom.
This was the second man claiming the place of Jesus at the wedding.

When the groom was questioned about the out-of-this-world wine, he could not give an answer because he had no idea how it came to be either.

The governor and the groom did not know that the real Governor, and Bridegroom was at the feast...
They had prepared a wedding, but had kept the Man of the hour outside.

You are the governor.
It is time to show forth your true identity as the true ruler in your world.
Do not waste time claiming right.
Let something that comes from you confound your world, and announce you as the ruler in your career.
Let them know you, now.

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

When you show forth your true identity, your true glory is revealed to those that must see that you are the real power house.

Those that claim to be something in your world will also see the manifestation of your works and be confounded.

Dan 4:7-9
Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.

Those mentioned above are no mean men. They are top-rated masters of the dark arts. They had risen through the ranks to the highest level possible in their field.

Yet, a time came when their knowledge and abilities finished. They stood before the king, confounded by a problem that must needs be solved.

But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying

Then, at the last, Daniel came.

Oh! when their relevance ended, Daniel’s began.

The king had to acknowledge that Daniel had something the others lacked.

While it was common in their world for a man to manifest a certain aptitude in either wisdom, understanding, knowledge, or the interpretation of hard sentences, according to his god, it was rare to see a man display them all.
Therefore, the king concluded that Daniel had the spirit of the holy gods in him.

You have a better testimony in Christ. You have the seven spirits of God; therefore, you can operate in different capacities in career.

The king could see that that the Spirit in Daniel was not the spirit of his god.
He could tell that the Spirit was holy, meaning that Daniel’s wisdom, knowledge, understanding, power, vision...were holy; and that his own god was not.

It did not matter that Daniel was called by the name of that unholy idol.

He displayed the wisdom that even the idol could not comprehend.

It is not enough to change a bad name; you must change the spirit first.

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

In the midst of masters of magic, Daniel was the master.

I do not care how many academic or professional qualifications, or titles a man has.
When we have to work in the same field, as long as He who is in me is greater than who is in him, I will show forth as the master in that career.

At the anointed hour, Daniel came. At the time when the astrologers, magicians and wise men were confused, he arrived and saved the day.

This was the hour he had prepared for, from the day he determined not to be defiled with the king's meat.

Brethren, prepare.
While others spend time on fruitless engagement, while they eat through each day, and sleep through each night, invest your time and prepare for the anointed hour.

Wait on Him.
Study the Word. Meditate on the Word.
Fast and pray.

There is an hour when no one will be able to handle, except the man with the anointed hands.

It is the Spirit of God that makes you the ruler in your world.

Daniel was in Babylon, one of the most idolatrous nations of the time. Yet, he declared, that they that know their God, in idol-infested Babylon, shall be strong and do exploits.

Dan 5:9-11
Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied. Now the queen, by reason of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:

Nebuchadnezzar had died.
His son had taken over the throne. Daniel was still the master...

When the new king was troubled and needed a solution, the queen mother came in and turned their attention to the man.

There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him

Physically, Jesus was not the governor at the wedding, but He is the Governor.
He was the groom, but spiritually, He is the Bridegroom.

In the same way, Daniel was not the owner of the kingdom; yet, he was the owner of the kingdom.

He was not in charge physically, but spiritually, he was the man in charge.

Once you have the Spirit of God, you are in charge.
That is the vision of God: that the wisdom, power, fire, divine capacity of God should be found in you.

...whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers

She repeated her words for emphasis. 'This man', she said was made the master of all magicians by your father.’ I mean, by your father himself'.

Are you the man in charge in your world?

Pro 29:27
An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

Daniel was an abomination to the magicians and astrologers in Babylon.
You are an abomination to the ancestral, territorial and foundational powers in your household.

Thankfully, that is not the end of the story.
You see, the wicked are also abominations, to you.
And, there is a way to deal with abominations.

I Thess 2: 14-16

For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

You deal with an abomination by forbidding it.

The wicked in your world seek to forbid greatness, success, prosperity, fruitfulness, longevity, progress... in your life.

Do not give them the opportunity to forbid your greatness.

You have a responsibility: to forbid them. You must disallow them from ruling, governing, and standing as masters in your world.

In as much as they are abominations to you, show forth the anger of the LORD against them. Forbid their gatherings, manifestations, works, greatness, success, relevance...

You are the man. Take your place.

PRAYER POINTS
In the name of Jesus,
My life, receive the capacity to hear God, when He speaks.
My life, receive the capacity to rule in career, in my world.
My Father, fill me with your Spirit.
Seven spirits of God, possess my life.
My life, receive the fire to forbid ancestral powers, negative patterns, judgements, and experiences.
My soul, I charge you; receive the capacity- the wisdom, power, fighting spirit- to forbid whatever the devil has set against my life and destiny.
My life, receive the power to forbid every power that forbids greatness, longevity, fruitfulness, prosperity, progress, in my household.
Ancestral powers, fighting my greatness; you are forbidden. Therefore, I terminate you by fire.
Any power, especially from my household, that has tagged greatness in my life as an abomination; I forbid and terminate you by fire.
I declare that I am called to greatness, fruitfulness, excellence, true riches, longevity, honour, prosperity.
I declare setback, failure, stagnation, mediocrity, barrenness, poverty, untimely death, shame, disgrace, dishonour, loss…abominations in my life and world. I forbid and terminate them by fire.
Familiar spirits, ancestral powers, witchcraft judgement, spirit of death; your powers are forbidden over my life and world, by fire.
Any defeat, that I suffered in the realm of the spirit; hear the judgement of the LORD. That defeat is defeated by fire now.

THE PURPOSE OF EXPANDING YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST

II Tim 4:14-15, 7, 16-17

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

These are the words of a dying man.

Paul writes to Timothy, intimating him of the end of his earthly assignment and journey. (v7)

While doing so, he also warns him about Alexander the Coppersmith, who did him much evil. ‘Beware of him’, he warns his protégé, ‘because he dealt with the works of God in my hands.’

At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

Alexander’s evil reached as far as chasing all of Paul’s helpers away from him.

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me...

Thankfully, Christ stood with him, and strengthened him.

Now, Christ had always been with Paul; and Paul already had strength. However, his encounter with Alexander revealed his need for a greater level of strength; a level that was proportionate to the challenge he was facing, and the work before him.

Therefore, he prayed, and Christ strengthened him. He received full capacity for the work that must be done through him.

...that by me

The purpose of power is work. That purpose is defeated in the life of the man who is not ready to work.

When a man fails to understand the purpose for the power he has, he will abuse it; and once he abuses the power, he will lose it.

The work must be done; if not through you, then by another.

If you do not do it, someone else will rise to the challenge. When you do not work the work with the power you are given, it will be taken from you and given to another.

...that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear:

Paul needed full capacity- full power- for his great vision.

You see, Paul’s vision went beyond just preaching. His desire was to ensure that the Gospel was fully known.

This means that, while the gospel had indeed been preached, and was been preached, he was driven by the vision to see it preached fully; no remainders, no left behinds.

Consider this: many have been blessed in your household; but there is a kind of prosperity that is yet to be known there. Many exploits have been wrought in your household, but they are yet to be done fully.

Through you, God desires to manifest and establish His prosperity, blessings and greatness fully.

Also consider this.

Mental capacity without spiritual capacity leads to profitability without sustainability.

Prosperity without the fire of God is not complete.

If you prosper mentally, but not spiritually, your blessing cannot be fully known.

When a man develops his mental capacity, but lacks spiritual capacity, he will make profit, but will lack the power to sustain it.

On the other hand, a man who has developed his spiritual capacity, but lacks mental capacity has no business by which to make profit.

...and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

When a man receives full capacity, while in the grip of the enemy, he will not remain there long. As he increases in strength and expands, the lion that swallowed him will be more than willing to vomit him.

Pro 11: 10-11, 16

When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

Be wary of the praise of men.

When men praise you in your household, giving glory to you as the source of the good they enjoy, be wise; beware.

The prosperity of the righteous man has far reaching consequences- of promotion, elevation, and progress- for his household.

However, while this is going on- while the righteous enjoys his years of plenty- the wicked in that same city is busy working on himself, seeking the power with which to bring him (the righteous) down, with his mouth.

This righteous man has been taught how to navigate the financial terrain of the world. He has learnt how to survive and thrive during an economic meltdown. However, when the meltdown he faces is not courtesy of economic forces, but orchestrated by the mouth- the words- of the wicked, what is he to do?

This is the danger of having mental capacity, while lacking spiritual capacity.

The blessing of God has no sorrow attached. Yet the righteous goes down because of the evil wrought by the mouth of the wicked.

A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

The power to retain the blessing is in spiritual capacity.

A praying woman cannot suffer dishonour.

When you discover that the love and honour that you enjoyed at the beginning of your marital journey is dwindling or no longer existent, it is a sign that your spiritual capacity is low.

A woman, who knows how to talk to heaven, has the capacity to hold and sustain the attention and respect of her husband.

When she has full capacity to perform in her marriage, she retains her grace and honour many years after.

When you walk with this understanding, you do not fight to be respected. You simply go back to the drawing board and ask: I started with honour. Where did it go?

In the same light, a praying man retains his riches.

Dwindling financial capacity is also a sign that spiritual capacity is missing.

This is the purpose of expanding your territory in Christ. You need mental and spiritual capacity to sustain the beauty, favour, glory, honour, riches that are yours in Christ.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • My soul, receive the full capacity of God’s fire.
  • My soul, receive the full capacity to perform fully.
  • My soul, receive the fully of God’s fire that cannot be swallowed.
  • Any power working secretly to overthrow me; I bring you down and destroy you by fire.
  • My grace, fire, strength, glory, honour, beauty, capacity; come back to me.
  • Any evil mouth speaking nonsense- limitation, frustration, failure- against me; I silence you by fire.
  • Whatever is said against me to dethrone me; backfire now.
  • My Father, let Your personality appear in my personality.

EXPANDING YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST:

EXPANSION IS GOD’S AGENDA (B)

REFERENCES: DEUTERONOMY 12:20, GENESIS 31:3-7, 22-30

Deut 12:20

When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

The expansion of your territory in Christ is not wishful thinking; it is God’s agenda. He has promised it, and He will surely perform accordingly.

Note that the speaker says, when, not if. You do not have to wonder about it becoming your reality; simply fight to see its manifestation in your life now, as He has promised.

Gen 31: 3-7

And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.

Note this: Jacob decision to move his family back to Bethel was by divine instruction.

God spoke to Jacob. It was at His command that Jacob took steps to return to the land of his fathers.

And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock, And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.

Jacob reveals something important to his wives here: that although their father is against him, God is with him.

This is the ultimate. It does not matter who is against you; only let the LORD be with you.

Opposition is inevitable. However, when God is with you, their raging against your expansion will be in vain, because they cannot stop God from fulfilling His promise to you.

And ye know that with all my power I have served your father. And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

Laban, Jacob’s uncle, had not only deceived him and cheated him of his rightful wages; he intended to kill Jacob.

So, Jacob had a God that had commanded him to move into his expansion, and a father in law/ uncle that desired to kill him.

Many Christians are likewise caught between the visions of divine blessings on one hand, and visions of death on the other.

Like Jacob, they have a God, who is with them and desires to bless and expand them. However, they also have a Laban, who is against them and desires to kill them because of their glorious destiny.

When you find yourself in this situation, make bold to declare that, ‘a man like me cannot die anyhow’ and your confidence is based on the presence of God in you.

The above revelation also explains Jacob’s decision to leave, as commanded by God, without informing his father in law.

Gen 31: 22-30

And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled. And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days' journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead.

So, Jacob fled with his family.

When Laban caught wind of this, he pursued after him. He was a determined man, and he kept at it for 7 days and finally overtook him.

Brethren, what determined personality has doggedly pursued you, seeking after your life, even in Christ?

There are times when God will allow this.

He will permit your enemies to chase after you, because He wants to achieve something in your life.

God saw Laban. It was He who recorded his pursuit of Jacob. From the first day of his campaign to overtake Jacob, God was in the know.

However, He allowed him to continue for 7 days.

Jacob was unaware...

Like him, many of us are unaware of the amount time the enemy has dedicated to our pursuit. We can only guess when it began, based on the experiences we have had, but God can give such details as the exact onset, strategies and expectations of the pursuit.

In previous teachings, we learnt how sacrifices and rituals are made by wicked men for expansion. We also learnt that no operation is complete without the activation of the spoken word.

These works of great evil are first discovered through a process of deep digging, and then deployed through ritual acts and spoken words.

A man can only deploy the weapon he has discovered; and he only discovers what he has dug deep for.

The ritual killing of unborn children, or the ritual use of leaves and herbs by the wicked to their own advantage, at our expense; these do not automatically give the expected result. They must be set into operation by spoken words.

And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

But God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night and said to him, Be careful that you do not speak from good to bad to Jacob ... (AMP)

God waited to speak until the 7th day.

When Laban finally overtook Jacob, he was ready to take action against him. At this time, God showed Himself, and spoke.

God was not commanding Laban against speaking to Jacob; He was sternly warning him from speaking words that would turn the good in Jacob’s life to bad.

Many Christians struggle to achieve good in their lives, in spite of the divine call and promises they have received, because certain words were spoken into their lives, which turned the good in their hands to bad.

These are victims of certain ‘uncles’ in their households, whose evil abilities they were not fully aware of.

God was aware of what Laban was capable of. He knew he was a man who was so deep into evil, that he had it in his power to turn good to bad.

Therefore, He did not permit him to speak such evil words to His chosen. If Laban had spoken thus to Jacob, the blessing upon Jacob would have died!

This was the same principle at play when He forbade Balaam from cursing Israel.

It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

No man sees God, and not know that he has seen Him.

Laban knew he had seen God. Therefore, when he arose and finally spoke to Jacob, he had no choice but to reveal the encounter to his son in law.

He also revealed his true self to his son in law.

The sum of his words was ‘you do not seem to know who I really am; that I have power, power to hurt you. I have what it takes to turn every good thing in your hand to rubbish, but your God has forbidden me from doing so’.

Jacob had served this man for 21 years and endured deceit at different times. While he was under his service, Laban himself testified that he had been blessed because of Jacob.

Yet, he sought to kill him because God wanted to expand him!

This was not written for Jacob. It is written for us to learn. Do not live by assumptions. Be wise enough to understand that you might have personalities in your world, who seek to superimpose their own agenda over your life at the expense of God’s agenda for you.

And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?

Anyone that has gods has power to hurt.

Laban did not chase after his nephew with swords or spears.

His power to hurt-his weapon- was in his tongue. If he had not been reproved by God, whatever evil words he had spoken-backed up by the authority of satan in his mouth- would have negatively impacted Jacob’s life, turning his good efforts to bad.

If, like Jacob, the good that God has commanded you to do is being threatened by spells or curses, uttered by demon-backed tongues, do not despair any more.

Today, you have the opportunity to reverse every spell placed upon your life, turning your good to bad.

As long as the steps you have taken are according to God’s agenda, then every adversary must die for you.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • Sufficient fire of God, that cannot be hurt; possess my life heavily.
  • Any wicked power that has pursued me to Christ; I slay you by fire.
  • Any wicked power pursuing me and my children; I terminate you by fire.
  • My expansion is God’s agenda. Therefore, any evil agenda fighting to terminate God’s agenda for my life; I destroy you by fire.
  • Any spell, fighting God’s agenda for my life; I terminate you by fire.
  • Any spell, turning my good to bad; hear the judgement of the Lord. Be wasted by fire.

EXPANDING YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST: EXPANSION IS GOD’S AGENDA

EXPANDING YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST:

EXPANSION IS GOD’S AGENDA

REFERENCES: DEUTERONOMY 33:20, JEREMIAH 49:1-2, AMOS: 1:13

Expansion- spiritual, marital, financial, ministerial, career-wise, and health-wise- is God’s agenda for His people.

Deut 33: 20

And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.

Gad needs someone to enlarge him.

The plan of God for every Christian is expansion, in every area of their lives.

However, He needs a man to help enlarge His people.

...Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad...

Blessed therefore is that man who enlarges the chosen of the LORD.

The servant of God who understands the business of heaven, especially this part of his divine assignment, and carries it out, will not have need for manipulation in order to make money.

He is blessed because he enlarges the people of God.

...he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.

This is the picture of the Gadarene in the tomb, who cut himself with stones and broke every chain he was bound with, while oppressed of devils.

However, when Jesus appeared to enlarge him, this same man went on to preach in ten cities. (Mk 5).

When Jesus passed through that land again, His fame had already spread throughout the Decapolis.

Today, I am sent to enlarge your life with God’s power, fire, fruitfulness, prosperity, sound health, promotions, greatness...

This is my assignment.

A question worth asking is: who is against his expansion? What is the force or conspiracy at work against the enlargement of God, as determined by God?

Now, Gad is a covenant child, born to Jacob.

Jer 49:1-2

Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?

Observe that God did not wonder if Gad had no son; He asked if Jacob had none. His call was to the other sons of Jacob. God is saying ‘I expect someone from Jacob- an heir to the divine inheritance of the Covenant- to defend his brother, bring him out of the cage of limitation, and enlarge him’.

When a covenant child suffers from oppression and limitation, God’s expectation is that a son of the Kingdom- someone who has the capacity to lay claim to his Father’s inheritance- irrespective of race or tribe, will rise, defend and enlarge the afflicted one.

...why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?

The land of Gad has been overrun and taken over by the Ammonites. The original owners and inhabitants of the land have been cast out of their possession, and there is no one from there to fight for his people and chase out the intruders and get back their land.

Well, if there is no son of Gad to deliver Gad from the invasion of the Ammonites, surely there must be another son of Jacob to do the job?

Concerning the Ammonites: this is what the LORD says: Has Israel no sons? Has Israel no heir? Why then has Molek taken possession of Gad? Why do his people live in its town? (NIV)

Molech, the idol of the Ammonites was the power that possessed the land of God’s people.

In the same way, many Christians have become victims of demonic possession in their households.

An idol claims ownership over their household, and takes possession of it.

Suddenly, certain areas of these peoples’ lives are possessed by devils, at the expense of the original owners.

Now, God is not going to come down and expel these demonic trespassers. Instead, He will connect you to a son of the Kingdom, who He has prepared to enlarge you.

Your responsibility, when you meet the son, is to understand the purpose for the connection.

This begs another question. How did they get to that land, and claim possession of it?

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.

While we ponder that question, consider the God’s solution to the problem of demonic invasion of your territory.

The man whom He has called will sound the trumpet and give an alarm of war against these devilish trespassers. They shall hear an alarm of war; and the war will not cease until all that is left of the invaders is desolation and destruction.

Prepare to strive in the place of prayer, for the sound of war is about to go forth...

Amos 1:13

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border

This is what the LORD says: for three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not relent. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders (NIV)

GOD’s Message: “Because of the three great sins of Ammon-make that four- I’m not putting up with her any longer. She ripped open pregnant women in Gilead to get more land for herself...” (MSG)

The LORD says, “ The people of Ammon have sinned again and again, and for this I will certainly punish them. In their wars for more territory they even ripped open pregnant women in Gilead...” (GNB)

These idols did not establish themselves in households without cause. Sacrifices and rituals were made to ensure their settlement and enlargement in your territory.

Stories abound of ritual acts involving the violent ripping of pregnant women in order to take out their unborn children and use these ones for ritual purposes. They do this to ensure the expansion of their territory, at the expense of others.

These idols demand sacrifices of their worshippers to enlarge their territory. The more rituals, sacrifices and offerings are provided, the more they expand. They penetrate lives, wombs, businesses, marriages, health of the household; and expand at the expense of their original owners.

When you struggle in a certain area of your life, and you observe that other members of the family keep insisting that you cannot make headway until you bow to what they bow to, it is a sign that there is devil in your territory.

When God commands a sacrifice of you, do the wise thing and obey.

Whenever you are tempted to consider it to be too much, remember that there are people offering heavier sacrifices to devils for their expansion.

The wrath of God is ready to fall upon these evil ones. God has raised a son to sound the alarm of war on your behalf. It is time for you to rise up and fight for your territory.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • Fire of God, take over my life.
  • Any sacrifice or ritual, done in my household, secretly taking over the territory of my life; I damage your power by fire now.
  • Any sacrifice or ritual, offered against my mind, to take what belongs to me; I damage your power over my life, soul, marriage...
  • Any sacrifice or ritual, done against me that takes what belongs to me from me; I crush you by fire.
  • Any sacrifice or ritual done, to hold me back, in order to hold me down; I damage and bury you by fire.
  • I receive back my portion.
  • Father, tell me whatever it is you want me to offer. I will obey You.

EXPANDING YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST: SHOWCASING YOUR TERROR TO EXPAND YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST

SHOWCASING YOUR TERROR TO EXPAND YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST

REFERENCES: JOSHUA 2:9, JOB 33:7, ACTS 4:13-17; 21; 29, ROMANS 13:3-4

We have learnt that expanding your territory in Christ demands positive pressure; because without it, a vision will simply generate frustration.

Expanding your territory in Christ also demands that you showcase your terror.

Every Christian has a deposit of the terror of God in him.

Josh 2:9

And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

These were the words of Rahab to the spies, testifying that her people were faint of heart because the terror of Israel had fallen upon them.

Brethren, the Lord has given you the blessing, and your enemies know this. However, for them to faint before you, your terror must fall upon them and make them afraid.

Job 33: 7

Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

No matter how firebrand a Christian, his terror is not permitted to make a fellow Christian afraid.

Your terror is not a weapon against your fellow brethren. It will not make your brother or sister in Christ afraid.

However, your enemies do not have the luxury of this testimony.

To them, your terror is a source of fear, and subsequently destruction.

Also know that, whenever you pray, and the enemy appears to threaten you, it is simply a ploy to undermine your terror. They are only trying to make you believe that your terror did not make them afraid.

See my terror ...I shall not make you afraid, neither shall my pressure be heavy upon you. (AMP)

So, as you go with the pressure to see the manifestation of your vision, you must also go with the terror of the Almighty God. Then, when the wicked seek to terrify you with threats and attacks, they will encounter and be brought down by the force of God’s terror in you.

Rom 13: 3-4

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Every ruler is a terror.

This is a divine truth.

The fact that you are a worker in the House of God means that you are a terror. Showcase it.

You are not a mistake on the earth. You are called for great exploits; and to achieve these, you must display your terror against every opposition of your glorious manifestation.

Every terror bears a sword; the Word of God is your sword.

With this sword, you do good to all who do good. However, to every worker of evil, your sword must reveal your terror, and execute divine anger upon them.

Acts 4: 13-17, 21, 29

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves

Your positive pressure will put your enemies under negative pressure, and cause them to debate on what to do to stop you. They will hold conferences, seeking to work out a plan on what to do to you, to put you under negative pressure by doing something evil against you.

You have a divine advantage: while they have the capacity to hold their meetings in your absence, they cannot shut out the Holy Ghost. Therefore, even though they seek to keep you in the dark about their agenda, you have access, by the Holy Ghost, to their deliberations concerning you.

Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. But that it spread no further among the people

Their enemies saw evidence of the apostles’ good works, and all they thought of was how to stop them from expanding.

Doing good does not endear you to the wicked. That is why your terror must be shown, for only then will you be able to defend and sustain the good that you do.

They see the effect of your holiness, of your service to God, of your vibrant prayer life.

They see the growth of your business, the blessings in your marriage, the prosperity that attends all that you lay your hands on.

They seek to stop you from spreading.

But you MUST SPREAD.

...let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

Their means of stopping you is to terrify your terror. The nightmares that come after your intensive prayer sessions, the disappointments that seek to taunt your obedience to God; these are simply threatenings, to terrify your terror.

So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

The enemy is persistent in his mission. He does not just threaten, he threatens even further. It does not matter that they have no legal grounds- nothing how they might punish you. They will continue to seek ways of terrifying you out of your divine expansion.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

You have a responsibility; you owe it to your destiny to be aware of the terror of God that you carry, and to beware of the conference going on to silence it, and therefore, silence you.

You must be ready to speak His Word. You must wield the sword in your mouth against the threats and execute divine judgement upon them.

Send forth your terror.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • Any meeting going on, to do something against my life, spouse, children, home, destiny; I command the agenda to backfire.
  • Any conspiracy of darkness to do me evil; backfire in sevenfold now.
  • Every threat of the wicked against my life, marriage, destiny; I terminate you by fire.
  • Every threat of the wicked to confine my life and destiny; to limit my progress and expansion; I damage and destroy you by fire.
  • Any power behind the threat against my life; your time is expired. I destroy you by fire.
  • Wicked powers blocking my way; scatter by fire now.
  • You forces of darkness standing on my way; I clear you off by fire.

CALLED TO CONQUER IN CHRIST: OPERATING IN THE SUPERNATURAL LAW OF GOD (B)

CALLED TO CONQUER IN CHRIST:

OPERATING IN THE SUPERNATURAL LAW OF GOD (B)

REFERENCES:  ROMANS 1:3-4, COLOSSIANS 2:10-12, PHILIPPIANS 3:11-15, JOHN 20: 19, 26; JOHN 21:1-14

Whoever will conquer in Christ must operate in the supernatural law of God. David operated in this law when he picked up stones and declared to Goliath what his end would be.

A firm understanding of this principle will cause you to experience the personal deliverance to break free of every limiting mindset, and be empowered to do the unusual in your world. You will live a life that cannot be shut up by any devil.

You will also move from the realm of merely quoting the Scriptures, to the realm where you walk in the Scriptures and in the manifestation of the truths therein.

Rom 1: 3-4

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

According to the flesh, Christ was made the seed of David, and while in the world, He answered to that name. When blind Bartimeaus called out to Him, He turned and healed him.

However, when He resurrected from the dead, He was declared to be the Son of God. By reason of His resurrection from the dead, His identify changed; His destiny was redefined.

No wonder the apostles could boldly declare that He was the Lord of David- His maker- and not his son. David did not resurrect but Jesus did.

As the Son of David, He would have seen corruption like David, but He did not, because He is the Son of God.

Col 2:10-12

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

During the process of being immersed in water for baptism, you do not die in the water, physically. Yet, by reason of going into the water in the name of the Lord, and rising out of it, you were buried, and are risen with Christ.

The baptism is your declaration that you died when He died, were buried when He was buried, and rose again when He resurrected.

Your presence here today is a testimony to your resurrection.

You need to understand this divine operation- that you came out of the water to live a life beyond limitation; to live a life that is beyond the reach of limiting forces, because, when He resurrected, no power could hold down, keep back or limit Christ.

Paul is teaching us that, by the operation of God, we died, and are risen with Christ. We only activated this when we went through baptism.

Phil 3:11-15

If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Consider this. The same Paul that reveals that we are complete in Christ and resurrected with Him, is now saying, ‘If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead’.

He was acknowledging that he was yet to get that place.

If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

This means that he was ready to do whatever it takes to get to the realm- the level, dimension, an atmosphere in God- called the resurrection of the dead.

In our part of the world, there have been stories of people confessing to killings because they were being chased and tormented by the spirit of their victims.

The question to ask is: if the dead persons were so powerful, why were they killed at all?

The answer: when a man dies and resurrects, all powers become subject to him.

The reason many Christians still live defeated and harassed lives is because, although they truly died, they are yet to resurrect from the dead.

Such a man lives in complete variance to his testimony of salvation because there are powers still raging against him, declaring to him that he will not enjoy all that accompanies salvation.

They can afflict and oppress him because he is yet to resurrect from the dead.

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Acknowledging that he had not yet attained the resurrection of the dead, Paul declares that he follows after- pursues that vision- for a purpose: in order to apprehend that- the reason- for which he was apprehended.

Brethren, the only way for you to lay hold of the fullness of your assignment- your destiny- is to get to the place of the resurrection of the dead.

It is at this place that you get to know God’s purpose for apprehending you, for frustrating you from the old way, and causing you to turn to His kingdom.

Only a Christian who has died to sin can seek to attain to the resurrection of the dead. Sadly, many people come to church, still carrying the baggage of their old life with them.

They expect God to carry them and their mess. They desire Him to work miracles in their lives while they hold on to the rubbish in them.

Such people are yet to die; meaning that resurrection is not on their radar.

When a Christian understands that Christ took hold of him for a reason, he will not rest until he understands the purpose and sees it fulfilment.

Every Christian should ask God: why did you save me? What exactly have you called me to see in You? Asking such questions will lead to the place of the resurrection of the dead-to the place where your past life no longer has the power to dominate, control or define you.

Only a man who knows that Christ has taken hold of him will seek to know the reason for his divine arrest, and fight to take hold of it as well.

TRPM can boldly charge you to take your lives and destinies seriously because we know why we were apprehended as a church. We were arrested to apprehend something.

You are brought here, not to make up the numbers, or fulfil social obligations; but to gain victory over every evil that has been bragging, boasting in your household and world.

You are arrested by Jesus to deal with them; and you are here to walk in the consciousness of that revelation, and work it out.

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded...

This is a clarion call to everyone who is destiny-minded; everyone who is serious about knowing and apprehending the purpose for their salvation.

Let your mind be set on getting to the place of the resurrection of the dead, so that, in that place, you may apprehend that for which Christ apprehended you.

Those who come to church to seek wealth, spouses, social standing, business connections, or to simply be identified with a place of worship cannot heed this call.

...and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

To as many of the perfect who have become otherwise minded- distracted from this call- may God reveal this to you now.

You do not need to die physically to get to the place where you become a terror to the wicked. You simply need to die spiritually, and resurrect in Christ. When you get to that place, every devil will flee before you.

Jn 20: 19, 26

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Jesus had resurrected from the death after 3 days; on the evening of the same day, He had gone to seek out His disciples.

The men He sought had shut themselves up. Their doors were shut for fear of being killed by the Jews.

These were men who cast out devils and witnessed the miracles wrought by Christ; yet they shut their doors out of fear of men.

Many Christians are likewise shut up, in their minds. They do not have the capacity to think productively because their mental ability has been limited.

So many destinies have been shut down because their minds have been shut in. They cannot do exploits until their minds are released.

Thankfully, shut doors were not a problem for Jesus- the Risen One.

When you get to the place of the resurrection of the dead, there are things that do not bother, scare or discourage you.

You definitely can no longer be kept out of your divine blessings by shut doors; they do not have the capacity to keep you out.

You do not have to wonder about prosperity because the lines simply fall for you in pleasant places;

Jesus did not bother knocking on any of the doors; He just walked through them and spoke peace to the troubled group. He even showed them the scars of His nailed hands; and they were glad.

And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

Now, one would expect that the gladness of their hearts meant they were ready to step out of hiding and resume their ministry work.

Sadly, this was not the case. 8 days later, the men who had been glad at His appearance and charge, were still locked up in that house!

Christ returned to the same scenario: His trained men were still shut up by fear. They had not bothered to go out.

And while this was going on, 8 days had been lost of His 40-day teaching schedule with them.

At this time, Jesus went back to pray.

You should not waste time complaining about the behaviour, attitude or failings of your spouse, children, colleagues, superiors or subordinates.

Understand that a mind that has been shut down will not respond as it should. It is a waste.

Christ could see that the minds of His disciples had been shut down; and nothing He said would matter. Not even their excitement at His resurrection could make them step out. He did not waste time complaining about their behaviour. He went to a place to pray.

Jn 21:1-14

After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself. There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

And Jesus returned, a third time. This time, 7 of the disciples were going fishing.

The leader of the pack was Peter.

After two powerful visitations from the risen Christ- beholding His walk through locked doors, seeing His scarred hands, and hearing His voice as He spoke peace, and sent them out- he was nowhere near his assignment.

He went a-fishing, and 6 other men went with him.

Many Christians are also far from their calling because they are paralysed by fear: of ancestral powers, and of men. They might not be physically locked up in a room with doors, but their minds are...

This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. (14)

It took 3 attempts by Christ, each preceded by prayers, before He could get the minds of His disciples open to Him.

Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. (5-8)

Consider this.

The same Peter that could not be bothered by the first two visitations of Christ was suddenly so excited to see the Master that he could not wait for the ship to get to shore. He jumped into the sea and swam ashore.

It was at this third time that their minds were open. They could see Him now; at the other times, something kept them from going after Christ the first two times.

He spoke to men that had walked with Him for 3 ½ years; but the fear of men shut up their minds and kept them shut in; from seeing Him.

Do not complain when men do not acknowledge your assignment, even in their lives. It is simple because the god of this world has blinded their minds, keeping them from acknowledging and hearkening unto you.

When a mind is shut down, destiny is shut down as well. Many are in destiny but they are not operating therein.

These men were resurrected men, but their minds were shut down.

This means that you must not only get to the place of the resurrection of the dead, you must also deal with any power fighting to shut in your minds against your destiny; or shut in the minds of men against you.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • Raw fire of God, possess my mind to function at full capacity.
  • Every attack of the wicked to shut down my mind in my destiny; I scatter and destroy your power by fire.
  • Any power that has vowed to shut down my mind in destiny; I scatter and destroy you by fire.
  • Every attack of the wicked to shut down the minds of people against me; I destroy you by fire.
  • Any power attacking the minds of people against my destiny; I crush you by fire.
  • Every door shut against me; open by fire now.

EXPANDING YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST: EXPANSION DEMANDS PRESSURE

PASTOR’S CORNER

EXPANDING YOUR TERRITORY IN CHRIST:

EXPANSION DEMANDS PRESSURE

REFERENCES: II KINGS 6:1-7, II CORINTHIANS 11:28; 32-33, II CORINTHIANS 1:8

Expansion demands pressure.

Nothing expands until pressure is applied to it.

It is the same for the things of the spirit. Expanding your territory in Christ will only become a reality when you apply the right kind, and amount of pressure.

And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait [small] for us.

Expansion begins when you acknowledge that your present level is too small. Consider now, that the place you are is too small. This could be your spiritual capacity, business, marriage, current accommodation, career situation or financial status.

The company of the prophets said to Elisha, “Look, the place where we meet with you is too small for us. Let us go the Jordan, where each of us can get a pole; and let us build a place there for us to meet.” And he said, “Go.” (NIV)

This aptly describes the process of expansion in the house of God. The prophets said to Elisha, ‘see, the place where we meet with you- the church- has become too small. It’s time to expand.’

The journey of TRPM follows this pattern. From small beginnings, we have expanded gradually but surely to this present point; and the journey continues.

Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.

There must be a place to get the necessary resources for expansion. The prophets knew where to go for the materials needed to expand. It however takes pressure to locate this place.

It is noteworthy that every pressure is for a purpose. It could be positive- to push you into expansion, or negative- to arrest you, and keep you from expanding.

And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.

It is not enough for the congregation to yield to the pressure for expansion. The leader- the pastor- must not be left behind as well.

Be content...and go with thy servants. They realised that it was in the best interest of everyone that the pastor expand as well. When a congregation outgrows its leader, in spiritual and mental capacity, there is trouble in the horizon. The Church must expand together.

So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood. But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water...

The axe head fell because of a different kind of pressure- the negative kind.

Whenever you yield to positive pressure to expand, you must be aware that negative pressure will be mounted against you; to frustrate your expansion and disgrace you.

...and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.

Now, the axe this particular prophet used was borrowed. The vision he caught moved him to take up a loan for the assignment.

As you work to expand your territory, you must also be ready to do the same. That might demand taking up a loan to expand your business.

As you do so, beware of the pressure to embarrass you. Your axe must not fall.

In the process of expanding the house of God, many people went above and beyond for the cause. Like this prophet, they were not working to build their own houses. Yet, they did all that was within their power, and more, to ensure the building of the house.

And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim. Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.

The man of God also had an axe. Using his, he cut a stick, threw it into the river and the axe head floated.

When it did, the man of God did not pick it up; instead, he called the affected prophet to take up his portion.

Thus, he frustrated the negative pressure against the prophet and caused him to recover his portion.

II Cor 11:28

Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. (NIV)

Every man that takes up responsibility over his marriage, family and business will receive the capacity to fulfil destiny.

A man who has concern for the situation of things around him, who cares to see expansion happen in his world will be empowered for the assignment.

And besides those things that are without, there is the daily [inescapable pressure] of my care and anxiety for all the churches! (AMP)

This pressure is inescapable. The care for the growth, transformation, and expansion of the lives of those in your world will keep you on your toes, continually working to make things better than they are.

This is true in every area of life. The man who is empowered for expansion is the man that has taken on positive pressure.

The man who wastes time- watching TV, fiddling with phones, surfing the net- is not under positive pressure. He wastes time watching the news rather than making the news.

Are you under inescapable pressure, daily, to care for the future greatness of your spouse, children, business and ministry?

Be like Paul, who put himself under pressure, labouring more that the other apostles. Labour more, in prayer, in the Word, in work. Put your brain under pressure because it can perform more effectively.

A man can also be under negative pressure.

When you are drawn to error, or are not bothered by the state of stagnation, limitation and mediocrity around you, you are under negative pressure.

Conquer this pressure.

Positive pressure is used by God to push you into greatness, expansion. He pushes you to pray, fast, study, and work harder because He is leading you higher.

When a man is under this kind of pressure, he cannot be distracted. His dedication is an offspring of the pressure, and he will not be drawn away from the work of expansion by anyone or anything.

II Cor 1:8

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. (NIV)

When you are under positive pressure, be aware that the devil will also raise negative pressure to stop you; and it will not be applied mildly.

Paul confesses that the pressure to stop them was so great, that they despaired of life itself.

When a man stands- to seek the Lord and cause an expansion- the devil will mount great pressure on you.

II Cor 11:32-33

In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

In Damascus, the city governor acting under King Aretas guarded the city of Damascus [on purpose] to arrest me (AMP)

Brethren, there is a purpose for every pressure.

Positive pressure is designed and applied to push you to grow and expand. It pushes you to seek God, to work on yourself, to train your brain mind and body for the new level.

Negative pressure is meant to stop your development. A careless, nonchalant attitude is a product of negative pressure. When a man thinks there is nothing more to pray, study, work, train and fight for, it is a sign that he is under negative pressure.

It takes pressure to move or stop a car. When you accelerate, you push pressure on the engine and cause it to move; when you press on the brakes, the pressure you apply is to cause the car to stop.

It takes pressure to make progress; it also takes pressure to arrest progress.

Do not ever be content with what you know, where you are, or what you have. Your life is more that it is right now. It is time to expand. Receive positive pressure, frustrate negative pressure, and make progress.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • I charge my life to receive positive pressure for expansion and progress in destiny.
  • Any negative pressure against my progress; I subdue and destroy you by fire.
  • Any negative pressure, from anywhere, to mess up my progress; I subdue and destroy you by fire.
  • Ancestral, foundational, territorial, witchcraft pressure to damage my destiny; I conquer and destroy you by fire.
  • Any negative pressure, wasting the time of my life, messing up my future years; I destroy you by fire now.
  • Any pressure that wants me to stop where my parents stopped; I subdue and destroy you by fire now.

SUBDUE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT IN CHRIST: IT DEMANDS DISCERNMENT (PART B)

SUBDUE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT IN CHRIST:

IT DEMANDS DISCERNMENT (PART B)

REFERENCES: HEBREWS 4:12-13, JOHN 16:13-15, MATTHEW 16:1-3, PSALM 31: 14-15

In the first part of the teaching, we learnt the importance of discerning the voice behind the word that we hear.

The devil tried to use the word of God against Jesus, and failed, because Christ knew it was not the voice of God.

David also almost subdued the Holy Spirit when he almost killed Saul at the nudging of his men. Why? He heard the word of God, but the voice was not God’s.

The devil knows the Word, and he will use it to deceive. However, he does not have the Voice. Therefore, it is important to look for, to discern the voice of God, and ruthlessly deal with any evil voice using the word of God against our lives.

Your discernment in the spirit is a function of the Word you have.

The Holy Ghost uses the Holy Scriptures. He does not have any word outside the Word of God. (Any ‘ghost’ leading you to live contrary to the Word is a ‘dirty ghost’.)

However, His ability to operate is determined by the depth of the Word in the Christian’s life.

There are levels of the Word: the milk, meat, and strong meat. Each level indicates the depth of revelation the Christian operates in, and his level of discernment.

The deeper your revelation of the Word is, the higher your level of discernment will be.

David, for instance, was saved because he gave heed to the higher Word that sprang up in his heart.

Remember that it those who do business in the deep that see the wonders of God.

Heb 4:12-13

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The word of God is the discerner.

There can be no discernment without the discerner. If the discerner in you is shallow, then your discernment will be weak; when you operate in the deep place of the Word, you will have strong discernment.

A Christian will struggle to understand and follow the leading of the Spirit when his revelation of the Word is shallow.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

All things are revealed before God, and He desires to reveal them to His Church. However, we have a responsibility to go deeper in the Word in order to be able to discern His language and messages.

Jn 16:13-15

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The Holy Ghost does not speak of himself. Therefore, whatever ‘ghost’ speaks to you outside of the Word is a counterfeit ‘ghost’.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

The Holy Ghost receives the Word from Jesus- the Word- and reveals it to you. Whenever He wants to reveal something to you, He does so by showing you the Word.

False prophets and evil spirits have misdirected many by claiming to speak by, or to be the Holy Ghost. Yet, their words do not proceed from the Holy Scripture.

Be wise to discard whatever anyone shows or says to you, outside of the Word.

Part of being a son indeed is discerning the voice of the Spirit in every area, even when it is hard-hitting and inconvenient. For instance, how can you claim to be a son or daughter, and you do not bless your spiritual father with your substance?

Matt 16:1-3

The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

Anyone who boasts of intellect but lacks the power of God is a hypocrite. If you can speak English, but lack the power of God, you are a hypocrite.

Teachers of the Law, pastors- in- charge; men of intellect...They were able to forecast the weather, but could not discern the sign of the times.

They could not discern the signs of the times, because it is spiritual. They could not discern the times because the level of the discerner- the Word- in them was shallow.

The things of the spirit can only be discerned by a spiritual man.

When people claim that they do not to hear from God, it is because they have taken up the responsibility to go deeper in the Word.

There can be no discernment without the discerner.

The depth of the discerner determines the level of discernment.

A highly discerning man will know the signs of the times.

The devil knows this truth and is fighting to spoil the times of men.

As you dig deeper into the Word and rise higher in discernment, you must also fight to destroy every power spoiling the times of your life.

Ps 31:14-15

But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Brethren, you need the Word to know the signs of each time: the time to fast, the time to mourn; the time for elevation, to get the power of God, to give offerings, to be quiet.

How can the Holy Ghost convict you of time wasting, how can He reveal the plan of the enemy to spoil your times through indiscipline, distractions and frivolous activities, if you do not have the Word?

You can only cry to God for deliverance in the time of wrath- when the enemy bombards you in hateful anger with the intention of wasting your life- when you have His word.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • Father, I hand over my times to You.
  • I submit my life to the Holy Ghost.
  • Holy Ghost, possess the totality of my life.
  • You candidate of the devil spoiling my times; I destroy you by fire.
  • Any power, judgement, or curse spoiling my times; I damage your power over by fire.
  • Any evil judgement in my foundation that spoils my times; I bury your power.

SUBDUE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT IN CHRIST: UNDERSTANDING THE DENIAL THAT BRINGS THE DESIRE IN CHRIST (B)

UNDERSTANDING THE DENIAL THAT BRINGS THE DESIRE IN CHRIST (B)

REFERENCES: PROVERBS 15: 4, JEREMIAH 15:15-19, EPHESIANS 4: 1-4

Whoever desires to fly in the realm of the spirit, and in every area of life must be ready to deny himself in order to see the manifestation of his desires.

Pro 15:4

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

The tongue that carries the power of God; that brings healing...When a Christian speaks or prays, and gets result, it means that his tongue has become a tree of life.

This is because of the fellowship that exists between the person’s tongue and the Spirit of God. It is this unity between the Spirit and the tongue that gives power and makes the tongue a tree of life.

Perverseness in the tongue causes a breach- disunity- between the speaker and the Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is subdued- through disobedience, sin...He moves away.

At that point, the words that proceed from the tongue lose the power they once had. The person will discover that the words he speaks do not carry power anymore.

Jeremiah was called to be great from his mother’s womb...

Jer 15: 15-19

O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.

This is a man who knows the Word and is called by the name of the Lord. Yet, he suffers persecutions.

In the midst of the bombardment, he cries to God for help, asking Him to remember him. He is saying ‘I know you are longsuffering; but do not wait too long to rescue and avenge me’

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

Jeremiah knew the Word- it was the joy of his heart; and he lived a holy life. Yet he suffered attacks.

However, contrary to Jeremiah’s belief, God did not fill him with wrath. He did not know that what he suffered was the bombardment of angry spirits.

There are angry spirits, from foundations and households who show their hatred by constantly attacking you, thus filling you with their wrath.

Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed?

Brethren, your pain is perpetual, and your wound incurable, because the source is an angry power. They did not come from God.

Whenever an angry power is against you, it is with the intent to wound you.

...wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

Jeremiah is so offended that he questions God’s truthfulness and faithfulness. ‘Have you become like one of those who lie to me, or will You also fail me?’ he asks.

This is the enemy’s plan.

The constant harassment and bombardment is to create a wound so deep and incurable, that it causes you to speak vile and blasphemous words against God.

Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me:

No one returns to a place he has not walked away from.

This is God’s reply: ‘Jeremiah, you speak as you do because you have gone away from Me. Come back to Me.’

...and if thou take forth the precious from the vile

In Proverbs, we learn that, when perverseness is found in a wholesome tongue, it causes a breach.

Jeremiah’s tongue was wholesome, but the enemy found a way to inject perverseness into it. This was the cause of the separation between him and God.

So, the precious was tainted by the vile ...

In returning to God, Jeremiah must cast the vile, worthless words out of his mouth.

... thou shalt be as my mouth:

The devil is angry that you are the mouth of God. This is the cause of his hatred. The bombardments, the pain, and the wounds are his way of pushing you to misfire in words, thus frustrating the work of the Spirit in and through your mouth.

Eph 4: 1- 4

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Brethren, you are called by God to put an end to oppression in your household and generation. What you hate is a pointer to your calling. The responsibility to walk worthy of your calling rests on you. You must follow the principles that bring the desire of your calling...

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace...

You must also strive, do all that is within you to keep the unity- the fellowship- between you and the Holy Spirit going strong.

When you sense troubling or unrest in your soul, be wise; keep quiet and do not move.

For instance, there will be times when you are sore tempted to speak or act in anger, but the Holy Spirit commands that you hold your peace. Even at the risk of breaking down in tears, you must obey.

To do otherwise is to cause a separation between you and the Spirit.

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling...

The calling is for a purpose: it is in the hope that you will become one with the Holy Ghost. It is so that you become the visible body through whom the invisible Spirit operates.

This hope becomes a reality as you pay the price of the denial...

This is the crux of the matter.

When the enemy discovers that you have a great assignment to destroy the works of darkness in your household and generation, and that your words are doing damage to him, he investigates. Seeing that the Spirit in you is the source of your power, his mission will simply be to cause a breach between you and the Spirit.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • My Father, wherever I have misfired, I am sorry. Forgive me.

  • My Father, whatever I have said contrary to my destiny; in whatever way I have conquered You, please forgive me.

  • Raw fire of God, possess me like a garment.

  • Every angry power that has vowed to wound me, physically, emotionally, mentally, financially, and in marriage... I destroy you by fire.

  • Every angry power, from anywhere, that has vowed to wound my marriage, body, children, spouse, finances, business, career, ministry... I destroy you by fire.

  • Every angry power that has vowed to wound me in order to cause me to speak perverseness; I slay you by fire.

  • Every magical power that has vowed to conquer me, I destroy you by fire.

SUBDUE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT IN CHRIST:

UNDERSTANDING THE DENIAL THAT BRINGS THE DESIRE IN CHRIST.

REFERENCES: Matt 16: 24, Acts 3: 13-15, Isa 58: 11-14

In Christ, you must say ‘no’ to some things in order to bring your true desire to reality...

Matt 16: 24

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

This message is not for everyone.

It is for those who are hungry for the display of the raw power of God; who desire to walk with their heads raised high.

This is a clarion call to these special people.

You have to deny yourself.

Your attachment to food, TV, alcohol, sleep and other carnal pleasures must be broken if you must achieve greatness in Christ.

Acts 3: 13-15

The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

Whenever a man denies the counsel of the Lord, he is indirectly saying ‘yes’ to the devil.

The moment the people denied Christ, they made their choice clear. They revealed their desire for a murderer.

Consider this: they denied Love, and said ‘yes’ to a murderer. The same is still true today. When a man loves alcohol, engages in immorality, struggles in the place of prayer but spends hours watching TV, is controlled by his appetites and disobeys the voice of the Holy Spirit, he is saying ‘yes’ to a murderer.

And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

This is how people subdue the Holy Ghost. When a Christian consistently pushes aside the voice of the Holy Ghost, the voice will die.

There are many voices in the world. So, when a man denies the voice of the Lord, he will hear a familiar voice- of   demons or of dead spirits.

Isa 58: 11-14

And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

This is the divine judgement and covenant of God upon my life and ministry. He has declared that he will satisfy my soul. At a time when others complain of a drought of the Word, this ministry has never suffered a drought of His word or power. Fatness, suppleness, unfailing abundance – of His Word and power; these are our testimony.

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations;

This is the vision. God will direct me, He will feed me and will not allow me to run dry.

This is the purpose for the feeding. It is so that I can in turn feed you, and send you out, to build the old waste places in your households.

He teaches me to teach you. He produced me to reproduce you.

This is not a place to practise religion and occupy seats. Anyone God has brought to be a part of this commission must run with this vision.

It is your duty to raise a new foundation; a solid foundation that unborn generations can lean on, and build on.

Receive power to build!

and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

God has called you to repair everything  that has been damaged in your household. Take time to study; observe your household, including the family you married into. What is wrong there? What evil pattern holds sway over their lives? What is the missing thing?

I have come to live a life that testifies of God’s original plan for His people. Therefore, everyday is an investment.

No one commissions an uncertified engineer to repair a failing structure. You expect the man for the job to have trained for the job. You have been called and trained as an engineer to repair all that is broken and damaged. Do not waste your time; focus on your assignment and work at it until the job is done.

What is more, you have a job to restore the people to the right way to go. Many people are waiting for you to show them the way to live and the path to walk.

If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

This vision is dependent on certain conditions.

You must not do your pleasure on God’s holy day. His day is not for you to observe traditions or follow contemporary trends.  His day is not for you to seek personal gratification.

Turn your foot away from His holy day. Do not come to His presence to hear what you desire to hear. Seek only His word, His will, His pleasure.

Come into His presence with the joyful expectation that He will speak to you. Be ready to dishonour yourself to honour His day. Do not seek your way, your pleasure, your words...

Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD;

Any Christian who walks in this truth cannot experience sorrow. When you live a life that pleases God, He will please you. Your joy will be full in Him.

and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

As you seek to know His will, He will show the path to dwell. He will lead you to the high places of the earth. Those who ride in the low places are susceptible to the attacks, torment of the wicked.

When you ride in the high places, you are above principalities and powers. You have access to the best of the earth.

This will be your testimony when you refuse to do your own pleasure; when you have denied yourself.

You must also destroy every power causing you to ride in the low places of the earth.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • Holy Ghost, please speak to me again.

  • Power to ride in the high places of the earth; enter my life.

  • My life, receive power to say ‘no’ to whatever is against my destiny.

  • My life, receive the fire to repair my household.

  • Any murderer attached to my life; I cast out now by fire.

  • Any power wasting destiny in my household, I come against you. I destroy you by fire.

  • Every work of darkness that makes me dwell low places of the earth; I damage and destroy your power by fire.

  • Any power, judgement from my household, keeping me in the low places of the earth; I damage and destroy you by fire.

  • Every internal bondage, holding my soul captive; break and scatter now.

  • Every attack of the wicked to scatter my life; I destroy you by fire.

SUBDUE NOT THE HOLY GHOST IN CHRIST: SUSTAINING THE CHILD IN THE NEW MAN (PART B)

SUBDUE NOT THE HOLY GHOST IN CHRIST:

SUSTAINING THE CHILD IN THE NEW MAN (PART B)

REFERENCES: JOHN 21:18-19, I KINGS 11: 1-8

If you consider yourself as old before God, you become a child in His eyes. However, when you see yourself as a child before Him, you become old in His eyes.

This is where the distinction between being childlike (trusting God completely), and being childish (immature, self absorbed, self- conceited, seeking one’s own way) is evident. The man who sees himself as old enough to go his own way is seen as childish before God. The man who sees himself as a child and yields to the way of God in all things- he is old indeed.

Sustaining the child in the new man therefore is a sign of truly growing in the Spirit. The more you submit to His way, like a trusting child, the higher you go in Him. This is why young David was a man after [God’s] heart, while Grandfather Saul regressed and became too immature to remain the head.

Jn 21:18-19

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldst not.

The childish Christian wants to do, eat, say, watch and wear whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He judges that it is his life and therefore his choice. He does not see the need to be led or corrected by the Holy Ghost, or to heed His promptings, because he sees himself as old enough to live his life as he sees fit. Well, in God’s eyes, that man is a babe.

The man who is truly old will become a child before God. An old person readily stretches forth his hands to be guided, and even carried. Have you ever observed an old man or woman being helped by a younger person? In a manner, he has become a child.

A man who walks in understanding of this principle will never live outside of God’s will. All that happens to him will be to the glory of God.

Another...this speaks of the Holy Ghost; as it is written,  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter...and he will guide you. (Jn 14:16; 16:13)

When you are old, you will not struggle with the Holy Ghost. Rather, you will stretch forth your hands and He will guide you, leading you, and equipping you with the truth you need to successfully manage your life, marriage, career, business and carry you all the way.

Oh, that the Church of God would stretch forth her hands to be carried by Holy Ghost! Then, men would witness the move of His power in the lives of His people. Christians would enjoy the blessings that proceed from His constant presence and unequalled wisdom in every area of their lives.

This spake he, signifying by what death he [Peter] should glorify God...and when he hath spoken this, he saith unto Peter, follow me...

When you follow the Holy Ghost, even your death will be to His glory. The flip side is that, refusing His leading may lead to one’s death, and an un-glorified one at that.

When He gives you a command; for instance, to leave- a person, place, association- be wise to obey and follow Him. Then it can be said that you were honourable in His sight, and deserving of deliverance in the day of wrath.

I Kngs 11:1-8

But King Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites. Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not prefect with the LORD his God as was the heart of David his father. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites...

These women were daughters of the nations God had warned Israel about, in very clear terms. Yet, Solomon, the wisest man and king of God’s own people cleaved to these women- one thousand of them!

...Solomon was old.

This does not refer to him as being stricken with age. Considering the time of his birth (he was born a considerable time into David’s reign), he was no older than David when he began to rule.

Solomon became old, not as one with grey hair, but because he saw himself as such. He decided that he was a man enough to do as he pleased, and did not need to heed God’s charge- to walk before Him like David.

There are Christians who started well, but became old and followed the wrong crowd. They have stretched out their hands and allowed strangers to lead them away.

Thankfully, the prayer of David, and the continual offerings of prayer by the priests brought him back. When he did come back to himself, he wrote Ecclesiastes.

Sadly however, he had lost a good part of his life and frustrated God’s original plan for his lineage.

Every moment outside the cover of the Holy Ghost is a moment wasted, sometimes with life altering consequences that will be felt by generations to come.

Do not become old in your own eyes. Be vigilant to cast out every stranger on a mission to lead you away from your God and your destiny.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • My Father, I submit my life to You.

  • Holy Ghost, possess me again.

  • Fire of God, take over my life completely.

  • Any stranger that has entered my life, to misdirect my destiny; your end is now. I cast you out of my life.

  • Any stranger that has entered my spouse, my marriage; to misdirect the destiny of my marriage. I cast you out by fire.

  • Any stranger I have entered into; I call my life out of you.

SUBDUE NOT THE HOLY GHOST IN CHRIST: SUSTAINING THE CHILD IN THE NEW MAN

PASTOR’S CORNER

SUBDUE NOT THE HOLY GHOST IN CHRIST:

SUSTAINING THE CHILD IN THE NEW MAN

REFERENCES: MATTHEW 18: 1-5, I SAMUEL 15: 17-21

As we begin this new theme, we need to understand what it means to subdue the Holy Ghost.

Subdue- to suppress, prevail over, conquer, defeat. When such words are used to refer to a person’s relationship with the Holy Ghost, then there is cause for alarm. For emphasis, the theme includes ‘in Christ’. There can be no relationship, nay fellowship, with the Holy Spirit outside of Christ. Remember that the words of faith you heard, by which you were saved, are spirit and life (Jn 6:63). (Note that Christ said spirit, not spirits). The Spirit comes before, and activates life in the Word of God. Without His work, the words would not stir up life in you. Small wonder then that the Bible charges us: Quench not the Spirit (I Thess 5:19)

When you disobey Him by seeking to do things our own way, you are informing Him of your decision to be lord and master over your own life. Now, we have learnt that the source of a thing sustains it. To subdue Him therefore means to frustrate His sustaining power in your life. Such thinking shows a lack of understanding; it reveals that the Christian does not know the authority he has in the Holy Ghost.

I Pet 2:2

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby

The word of God is called sincere because it will not deceive. You are as the Word reveals you to be; it does not regard titles, positions, perceptions or appearances in its judgement.

To desire this Word therefore means to receive it and amend accordingly. To do otherwise is to subdue the Holy Ghost.

Every child of God matures in Christ, but remains a child before his Father. He becomes old when he walks out of alignment with God. Moses did not grow old until he failed to sanctify God before the people. It was then that he referred to himself as old (Deut 31:2)

God expects us to look up to Him as suckling babes do; with trusting and expectant hearts.

There is a difference between being child-like and being childish.

A Christian must retain a child-like trust, mindset and attitude in his walk with God. A child will believe even the most seemingly outrageous idea or instruction, especially when it comes from someone he trusts. Unfortunately, many have allowed education kill the child in them. The obsession with logic, reason and philosophical postulations has made old men of many Christians.

Matt 18:1-5

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And whoso shall receive on such little child in my name receiveth me.

The journey of transformation Christ prescribes is in stages: repentance, conversion, and becoming.

Salvation begins with repentance, but it does not stop there. There must also be a conversion- a turning away from the old life, towards the way of Christ. The man who repents and is converted must then become. He must submit to the process of being made as a child.

Many Christians repent but remain in their old ways, and many yet do not become as little children.

Judge yourself: if you still live as you did while you were a sinner; if your time is still spent on the carnal pursuits that occupied your old life, then you need to be converted.

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom heaven.

This means that a Christian may see the kingdom of God and not enter into it!

Brethren, it is possible to be come to a place of God’s power, but not partake of it. Without these three-ALL THREE-a Christian lacks the access pass to enter into that realm of power, fire and authority. Such Christians can talk about the power of God, but do not experience it. The bible says they profess to be godly, but deny the power thereof (I Tim 2:5).

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Absolute trust is a major sign of child-likeness, and humility is a product of that absolute trust in God.

It takes the child in you to humbly follow God, even when it does not appear to be in your favour. Many Christians seek to see the nail print (Jn 20:25) before they believe and follow Him, forgetting that to subdue holy Ghost is to lack access to His power.

The man who walks in humility is the one who has become a child before the Father, and the same- whether he be a pastor, church worker or member; whether he be educated or not; whether he heads and organisation or simply mans the gate- shall enter into the kingdom of God on earth, and be the greatest therein.

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

A pastor can only be a blessing to you if the child in him is still sustained. To receive such a man is to receive God, and you will do well not to take him for granted.

Lack of understanding, and of humility will make a man lose the blessings of such fellowship. Many have despised such to their hurt, because they saw his younger age, lower educational status, or even his financial situation, thus failing to see the God in him.

I Sam 15:17-21

And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

God knows when a man becomes a child. Anyone who comes to the presence of God and becomes as a little child before Him, catches His attention. There is a record in heaven of that day.

Here, we see that Saul was made. In the New Testament, Christ says to His disciples: follow me and I will make you (Mk 1:17)

How then is a man made? A man is made by God, when he repents, is converted and becomes like a little child.

When a man demands superiority based on position or status, it is a sign that he is still an old man. He will continue to struggle to get the respect he demands until he learns to become a child before God.

Saul was made the head of Israel because he became a little child. Now, since it is the head that is anointed, it was no contest that he- the head- was anointed. So, becoming a child before God not only makes you the head, it also makes you a candidate for God’s anointing. In contrast, a man who fancies himself as the head will be shocked to see his wisdom become folly, while his subordinate becomes the vessel of wisdom.

And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinner the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

The repented and converted man, who becomes a little child before God, is made by the Word. Then he is anointed, because no one can go far without the anointing. The making of a man by the Word will change him. His language will change and he will become a useful vessel in God’s hand. At that moment, God will anoint him. Then, all he needs is to hear God say ‘Go’. Whatever he goes on to do is a guaranteed success. Anointing, like everything else God gives, is not a prodigal gift. The child is made the head and anointed for a purpose.  The disciples received power to preach. Saul was anointed to go and utterly destroy Amalekites.

Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?

Brethren, whatever conquers a man will subdue him. Saul started well, but missed it when he deviated from the original brief. The moment he decided that his way and the will of the people mattered more than the Word of God, he subdued the Holy Ghost.

And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.

This is the sad reality of many who begin with God. He anoints them and sends them. Sadly, many become taken in by money, connections, and the voice of men. They decide that a little adjustment will not hurt anyone, and the Spirit is subdued. Even their language will show that their allegiance has changed. Did you notice Saul said ...to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.

Humble yourself before God; give control to the Holy Ghost, and the sky cannot limit you.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • Holy Ghost, I submit my life to You.

  • Father, I humble myself before You.

  • You evil voice fighting to silence the voice of God in my life; I silence you by fire.

WALKING IN THE HOLY GHOST: SUSTAINING YOUR DESTINY BY THE HOLY GHOST

PASTOR’S CORNER

WALKING IN THE HOLY GHOST:

SUSTAINING YOUR DESTINY BY THE HOLY GHOST

REFERENCES:  ACTS 9: 11-18, ROMANS 8: 3-4, I JOHN 5: 8-9

Even as we discover our destiny in Christ, we need the Spirit of God to sustain that destiny. This is why it is necessary to carry the power of God, for without it, one’s Christianity is merely religion.

Acts 9: 11-18

And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for behold, he prayeth, and hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight...Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.

After his encounter with Christ at Damascus, Paul (known then as Saul) became blind, but while in that condition, he received a vision from Christ about a certain man who would open his eyes by the laying on of hands.

That man was Ananias, and he also saw a vision about Saul (the man from Tarsus, who was known to have received a mandate to bind all who professed the name ‘Jesus Christ’). In that vision, the Lord informed Ananias about Saul’s present situation and sent him to the new convert so that he would receive his sight.

And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightiest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

However, on meeting Saul, Ananias revealed that there was something more. At the laying on of his hands, not only would Saul receive his sight, he would also be baptised in the Holy Spirit.

And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptised.

Immediately Ananias announced his mission to Saul, the scales that had covered his eyes fell off, and he regained his sight. And so, the vision Saul saw became a reality. I pray for you that every good vision you have seen about your life and destiny will become a reality in the name of Jesus. But that was not all: he was also baptised in the Holy Ghost.

This is because Saul could not have sustained his sight without the Holy Ghost. Sadly, many Christians fail to continue in their divine assignment because they have no one to reveal this to them. And so, although they are chosen vessels of the Lord, they walk blindly and fall away, because they lack the sustaining power of the Holy Ghost.

Rom 8: 3-4

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Consider this: the Word that says ‘no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper’ has not lost its potency. However, its power has been weakened because the people it was sent to walked in the flesh; using their sense knowledge in their walk with God.

When a Christian believes that the reality of his household or environment is a determiner of how far he can go, or a limiting factor in his destiny, he is walking according to the flesh.

...that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

If the law has righteousness, it also has power and fire, but alas, it could not fulfil its purpose because the people walk in the flesh- calculating the ability of God based on their mental capacity and experiences. This is why Christ came: to condemn sin in the flesh, so that the potency of the law can manifest in those who walk by the Holy Ghost.

I Jn 5: 8-9

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater.

The witness of man vs the witness of God: which have you received?

Many Christians walk in the flesh because they accept the witness of men. They believe certain experiences and patterns suggest that things will go contrary to them, when the testimony of God is that all things work together for good to them!

The witness of men was that nothing good could come out of Nazareth, and Nathaniel voiced these words. But when he encountered Jesus, he discarded the lie that had been programmed in his mind, and acknowledged the Glorious One from Nazareth.

Brethren, even when the witness of men seems to manifest as reality, it is imperative that you confess the greater witness of God because it has the capacity to overcome and overthrow the former.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • My soul, receive the fresh fire of God to activate the witness of heaven about my destiny.

  • Forces of darkness testifying against my life and destiny; I destroy you by fire.

  • Any dream testifying against my greatness; I damage your power and silence your voice by fire.

WALKING IN THE HOLY GHOST: THE ENEMY OF THE HOLY GHOST

WALKING IN THE HOLY GHOST:

THE ENEMY OF THE HOLY GHOST

REFERENCES:  1 THESSALONIANS 5:19, EPHESIANS 4: 20- 24; 30, ACTS 16: 6- 20

In walking in the Holy Ghost, you must also understand that He has enemies.

The first enemy is your old man; and the second is the evil stranger. This might be a ‘prophet(ess)’ who calls you to give prophecies that pull you down rather than raise you up.

I Thess 5: 19

Quench not the Spirit.

This is a divine charge to every Christian. Do not quench the burning fire of the Holy Ghost. This means that, as powerful as He is, you have the ability to quench Him, but whenever you do so, you become His enemy. Therefore, you must not argue with Him or delay in obeying His commands.  Rather, you have a personal responsibility to do whatever He asks you to do- watch, pray, give or be quiet- wholly and with alacrity.

Refuse to quench the Spirit again.

Eph 4: 20- 24

But ye have  not so learned Christ; if so be that ye have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Putting off the old man, and putting on the new man; both are your responsibility.

Acts 16: 6- 20

Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, after they were come to Mysia, they assayed [attempted] to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not..

The Spirit forbade and disallowed these men from preaching in certain lands. This shows that, no matter how anointed a man is, he must be sensitive to know what the Spirit is saying and obey. When you want to do something- even a good thing-and He says ‘no’, you must obey. To do otherwise is to quench Him.

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; there stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

a man of Macedonia...

This man was not from Macedonia. Rather, it was the Holy Ghost pleading with the apostles to go to the land of Macedonia. Many have seen ministers of God in their dreams, encouraging them to get fellowship with God, to pray, to obey Him. That was the Holy Ghost speaking as ‘a man of Macedonia’.

And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them...

Once Paul the vision, they immediately began to make plans and work towards going to Macedonia. They did not delay or wait for further prodding from the Holy Ghost. Rather, they took action immediately.

And it came to pass as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

Now, they moved to Macedonia because they were certain that God had called them to preach there, but the journey was not hitch-free.

It is also possible that you have made a move in obedience to a sure call from God about where to worship, seed sowing, who to marry, or even a pastoral assignment. As you obey, be aware that there are devils that have also seen the vision of your coming, and are waiting to grieve the Holy Spirit by frustrating the work He called you to do. They do this by sending evil strangers- ministers of the devil cloaked in the name of God- to you. These ones come to your life to distract you and pull down your spirit. Don’t be fooled; they will prophesy, but by familiar spirits, and will make gain off any unsuspecting Christian.

The damsel was a profit-making venture for her masters. Having received the signal that Paul’s coming would do serious damage to their enterprise, they made a plan.

The enemy’s plan to sabotage the divine assignment was to strategically place the damsel, so that she met Paul and company on the way, before they got to the prayer meeting.

Let us consider this: if the masters made profit from the soothsaying of the damsel, what do you think happened to the lives of those she encountered her? Well, for every profit the masters made, someone suffered loss. Likewise, that ‘prophet’ that requests for phone credits, money, or food items because he has a prophecy to give you or a prophetic work to do for you, is simply making profit at your expense.

...the same followed Paul and us, and cried saying, these Men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.

We need to understand that it is the spirit of divination in the damsel that was speaking in her. So as she followed Paul, she ‘prophesied’. Now, as is the nature of lying spirits, he (the spirit) started with the truth and followed up with a lie. It was true that Paul and company were servants of God; however, as evil spirits cannot be saved, they definitely did not come to show him (the spirit) the way of salvation.

She continued, un-rebuked, for many days because her words appeared to be true. Then something happened.

And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Eph 4: 30

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God.

Paul had already dealt with the old man within, and he was sure that he had been called by God. Therefore, when the Spirit in him was grieved, he sensed that that something was amiss, and the source was external.

Anyone you walk with, in whose company your spirit goes down, is an evil stranger, and you will do well to avoid such.

After many days of condoning the damsel, and after sensing that the Holy Ghost was grieved, Paul finally turned and rebuked the spirit... And he came out [of her] the same hour.

And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the market place unto the rulers, and brought them to the magistrates, saying, these men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city

Brethren, it is time for you to become sensitive to the Holy Ghost, to expose and rebuke the evil stranger gaining at the expense of your marriage, assignment, destiny and business.

PRAYER POINTS

In the name of Jesus,

  • Anything in me, quenching the fire of the Holy Ghost in my life; today, I cast you out.

  • Any stranger sent to me to bind my life and reduce my destiny; I cast you out by fire.

  • Any stranger gaining from me at the expense of my destiny; I break and destroy your spell.

  • Every spell of the wicked that has been prevailing over my life; break and scatter.

WALKING IN THE HOLY GHOST: DEMANDS DIVINE LAWS

WALKING IN THE HOLY GHOST:

DEMANDS DIVINE LAWS

REFERENCES:  PSALM 103: 7, ECCLESIASTES 11: 5, ROMANS 8: 1-2, PSALM 91: 1-3

Laws are guiding principles and standards. Divine laws therefore are heavenly principles and standards, and no one can walk with, and in, the Holy (divine) Spirit without them.

Ps 103: 7

He made known his ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel.

Until you know the ways of the Holy Ghost, you cannot do His works. The Acts of the Apostles did not come to be until the Holy Ghost descended; neither did the Holy Ghost descend until the Way was made known to the apostles (remember that Jesus Christ - the Way- was with them for three and a half years).

Moses knew the ways of God; the people only saw His works. But those works were performed by the hand of Moses.

Another thing to note about the ways of the Holy Spirit is that they are revealed. They are not the end result of academic research, but simply divine revelation.

Eccl 11: 5

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all

Knowledge of the works of God, and the power to display them, will only come when you know the way of the Holy Spirit. Until His way is revealed, no one can perform His acts.

We must understand that the kingdom of God is a city founded on His Word. Whoever therefore seeks to find this ‘city without walls’ must know the ways of the Spirit. Anyone who does not understand His ways will not go far.

Rom 8: 1-2

We need to understand context of this confession. The speaker, Paul, before his conversion, was responsible for the deaths of many Christians. Now, as a zealous servant of the Lord, he had to contend with the devil’s assault of condemnation against him because of his old life.

‘How dare you, a murderer of holy men, think you can do the work of God? Do you think you can do what Peter and the other disciples haven’t done, when the blood of Stephen and other holy men cry against you?’

This would have been the conversation initiated by the enemy against Paul. The devil might even had shown him a picture of Stephen crying for vengeance. Many a times as Christians, we face this dilemma, as the devil fights to keep us in a state of constant condemnation, even after God has forgiven us and washed us of all our sins. This is because we do not know the truth.

Paul however knew that it was his divine right to condemn every tongue that rose against him in judgement, and he acted accordingly.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

We see two types of Christians in this portion of the Scripture. Firstly, there are Christians who walk after the flesh; who care more about the financial security and advancement than the way of God. Then, we have those who walk according to the way of the Spirit; who seek to please God and do His will.

There are two laws warring against each other: the law of sin and death, and the law of the Spirit of life in Christ.

The law of sin and death states that lust, when conceived, will produce sin, which in turn will lead to death (see James 1: 15). What this means is that, desiring something that God has not given you, by any means, is a journey towards death.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ reveals that there is no life outside Christ. However, the law can only work when you apply it. When the Holy Ghost takes you to the Word, it is so that you can speak out the relevant word against the mountains challenging you.

What the devil does is to move you into sin so that he has the legal ground to attack you. It is therefore important that you walk according to the leading of the Holy Spirit, even when it is inconvenient. He is the Spirit of life in Christ. Even when He leads you into the prison like Joseph, or the grave like Jesus, He will be there with you, and will definitely lead you out. And when He does, it will be to glorify you.

God has not promised you a life free of adversity. Rather, He promises to be with you in the fire. Battles will rage against you, whether you provoke them or not. But, when you are led  by the Spirit, you will be victorious.

Now, let us go back to Paul. The devil was arguing that he deserved to die because he walked by the law of sin and death, but since he now walked after the law of the Spirit of life in Christ, he was not permitted to die. And so the controversy began.

Ps 91: 1-3

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Dwelling and abiding in a place mean the same thing, so why are they used together in this verse?

When a man comes into the presence of God to seek His face and His will, he is dwelling. Now, when he leaves the presence of God to go about his daily business, he does not go alone; the shadow of the Almighty goes with him. And so it is that, because he dwelt in the secret place of God, God will be faithful to be above him always.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

When this man, who walks under God’s shadow, encounters the snare of the wicked in the course of his day, he would probably wonder why. Yet God is saying ‘Surely, [I] shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler‘. God saw the trap and allowed it to ensnare him so that He can demonstrate His power.

Joseph desired greatness, but did not know that, on his way there, he would have to pass through the pit and prison. So, when you find yourself ensnared by a terminal illness, affliction or oppression, and all seems bleak, know that God wants to teach others how to overcome that devil through you.

Even when the devil tells you that your end is near because of the illness, rejection or affliction, you must be confident enough to confess that the Lord ‘shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler‘.

WALKING IN THE HOLY GHOST: GENERATING THE DESIRED RESULTS IN CHRIST

WALKING IN THE HOLY GHOST:

GENERATING THE DESIRED RESULTS IN CHRIST

REFERENCES: Gal 5: 16, 25, Micah 2: 7- 11, II Cor 12: 19, Jn 13: 7, 12

Walking in the Holy Ghost is the secret to generating the life, marriage, business, blessings and testimonies you desire in Christ.

Every Christian must cast out the old man and his deeds. This refers to the spirit and nature of your household- your old nature; and is the reason many Christians speak in tongues but still walk in marital violence, infidelity, anger, etc. That old nature still flowing in your life is the spirit of the old man, and until you cast it and its deeds out of your life, you cannot walk in the Holy Ghost and live the life God desires for you.

Gal 5: 16, 25

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (v 25)

Walk in the Spirit. Journey, progress in the Spirit, and you will not fulfil the lust of the flesh. This cannot happen if you are not in the Spirit. So, the first step to walking in the Spirit is to receive the Spirit, by being born again. Then you live and walk in the Spirit.

However, living and walking in the Spirit are two different things. Many have received the Holy Ghost, live in the Holy Ghost, but do not walk in the Holy Ghost. This teaching is to open our eyes to see how to get it right.

Micah 2: 7- 11

O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? Are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

The word of God works for everyone who walks in the Spirit. When we do not enjoy this good, it is because something has gone wrong.

Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy

‘My people’ talks about ministers of God. Now, one either ministers by the Holy Spirit or by an evil spirit. When a Christian is ministered to by the former, the Word builds up his life; when it is by the latter, however, it will be to destroy something in his life. What this means is that, if you have ever been ministered to by someone who was not walking in the Spirit, you have been imparted to experience doings that are not good.

...ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war. The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

People who come to church are like men returning from war, tired and in need of rest, succour from all their struggles. Unfortunately, many of them end up in churches where they are taken advantage of and disrobed. As far as eyes can see they are still fully robed, but in the realm of the spirit, they have been stripped of their glory. In such congregations, the integrity of marriages is not upheld and spouses are pulled apart from their pleasant homes by the ‘pastors’. Children are also unfortunate collateral damage as their glory is taken away. When this happens, you discover the child behaves differently, strangely and not in a good way.

Arise ye, and depart, for this is not your rest: because it is polluted; it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

The charge of God to such a person is this: arise and depart, because you are in a place of destruction and loss. Unfortunately, many times the lure of positions and loyalty to the man the pastor once was, keeps people in the wrong place. Yet God is saying: this man was my servant, but now he has turned away. The rest you seek cannot be found here. Rather, what you will find, if you stay, is pollution and a sore destruction.

The move of God in a place is the function of the Spirit, not the beauty of the place. Once the ‘man’ is polluted, then the place is also polluted.

If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

Why then do people stay tied down to such a place, despite all the loss and destruction they suffer, and in spite of God’s charge? The secret is the spirit.

The ministers of these congregations know exactly what to say to keep you back. While the Holy Ghost instructs you to leave the place, the evil ghost in the minister is promising you prosperity, and that sounds like music to your ears. So, you are torn between the two ‘ghosts’. This means that you choose to receive a lie from a familiar lying spirit as prophecy, and walk accordingly, to the detriment of your glory and destiny.

II Cor 12: 19

Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? We speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

In Christ- in the anointing, all that is done is to build you up. If therefore, you want to walk in true prosperity, to be built up spiritually, financially, in marriage... you need to walk in the Spirit. It is not enough for the Spirit to dwell and walk in you; you must also dwell in, and walk in the Holy Ghost as well!

Lay hands on your home, life and business in the Holy Ghost, and you will generate the results you desire.

Jn 13: 7, 12

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, know ye what I have done to you?

Before Christ washed the feet of his disciples, he took off his garments, meaning he stripped to his barest- his underwear. When He was done, He took back His garments, sat down and asked them: know ye what I have done to you?

Whether they did or did not know did not matter; what did matter was that something was done to them.

When a child experiences or witnesses violence or abuse, something has been to done to him or her. The reason people are unfaithful, distrustful, violent, immoral; walking in error, is because of what was done to them. That is the old man, and you must cast it out.
