In your success journey, you must not only understand that you are called to succeed, but also that your calling is progressive.

Pro 4:18

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

But the path of the [uncompromisingly] just  and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day to be prepared.(AMP)

If your life is not shining brighter and better, it is a sign that you are compromising in one area of your life or another. A Christian in deed; who is uncompromising in his walk, will shine brighter and clearer.

Your destiny, business, career, marriage...all must be better today than they were yesterday, and more so tomorrow than today, until you reach full strength in every area. That is God’s standard.

Rom 1:1 (AMP)

From Paul, a bond servant of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) called to be an apostle, (a special messenger)...

Like Paul, you are called to special in everything you do. However, making this your reality demands that you know how to work it out.

I Cor 16:15-16

I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

Addiction frustrates distraction, and brings expansion.

If you have ever come across an addict, you will have observed that nothing can drag him or her away from his or her addiction.

Anyone who desires to frustrate distraction must be addicted to his calling. An addiction demands full attention and commitment from the addict. However, lack of addiction will frustrate commitment and lead to a life of mediocrity.

An entire household committed themselves to the service of the God’s ministers. They faithfully ministered to ministers.

Their addiction to service made them leaders, and concerning such like them, God gives a charge: submit yourselves unto such.

A man who is focused on what he can get for himself in anything he is called to do will never go far. Principalities will forever be above him, and he will serve his peers.

However, when a man is addicted to being a minister, he will become a leader of men.

Christ was one of such...

The captain of our salvation was insulted, but He committed Himself to the One who judges righteously. Considering the gain set before Him, He endured the pain and despised the shame of His death.

Like Him, you also will face insults, ridicule, and shame because of your calling. However, if you are addicted to the call, your pain will eventually make way for gain, and men will inevitably submit to you. It will not matter what they have achieved or amassed...they will submit unto you.

Isa 46:9-11

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

God declares His identity: ‘I am God and there is no one like Me.’

He is on a mission to prove every being claiming to be like Him wrong. This includes stubborn powers, personalities, altars, spells, curses, oaths...that are fighting to frustrate and stop your divine calling.

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

God can declare the end of a thing from the beginning because He has the power to bring it to pass. In the same way, He declares things that are not yet done from ancient times because they will be done.

However, that also means that your calling is to be the vessel by which they become done...

When you look into your family, what do you see? What evil pattern still flows in your bloodline? What terror still reigns in your household?

Who has God called to put an end to these? Who will make sure that those things that are not yet done, are indeed done?

The man who will work this great work cannot afford to be anything but committed. He will guard his time jealously because he understand the gravity of his assignment.

Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country:

God went looking afar off for a man hungry enough to be used by Him, because the men of the land were too sated to be useful.

When a man is satisfied with his level, he cannot be used by God any longer. It takes a man with a ravenous appetite- hungry enough- to be used by God.

Calling is progressive. God will only continue to use you and move you higher as long as you remain hungry- hungry to do the things that are yet to be done; hungry to execute His counsel in your world.

...yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

While some look for people to help them, God is busy looking, in faraway lands, for hungry souls who will work as His co-labourers to fulfil His purpose.

Who do you want to be: the man God looks for, or the one men look for?

Become addicted to your divine calling. Become like Paul: be hungry enough to count all else as dung until you gain the excellency of the calling to which you have been called.

In the name of Jesus,

  • My life, hear me well. My world is waiting for me. Therefore, I charge you; receive sufficient power, strength, fire, knowledge, and capacity in every area, to do things that God has called me to do, but are yet to be done in my world.
  • My destiny, I charge you to receive sufficient power in every area, to do things that God has called me to do, but are yet to be done in my world.
  • You forces of darkness that quench the fire, the zeal, the tenacity, for my assignment, hear the word of the Lord. I bind you and destroy your power by fire.
  • Any strange power that has vowed to frustrate my calling;
  • Any evil arrow fired at me, to stop me; I shoot you back by fire.

REFERENCES: JOB 36: 7-, JOB 37: 7, I CORINTHIANS 8:5 (NIV), ISAIAH 48:13,15, JUDGES 13:5, JUDGES 16:4-5, 18-25

Job 36:7-9

He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted. And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction; Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

God has established you as a king, on the throne forever. Therefore you are called to function as a king. However, there is a devil on a mission to dethrone you by destroying God’s content in you.

Judg 13:5

For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

Samson was a Nazarite. That was the content God put in him.

That content carried the capacity to deliver his people- Israel, out of the hand of the Philistine, making the Philistines Samson’s principal enemy.

Like Samson, God has put in you a divine content, equipping you with the capacity to deliver your household and generation from evil- whether it be poverty, mediocrity, evil patterns or experiences.

Now, whatever you have been called to destroy in your household is your enemy.

Judg 16:4-5, 18-25

And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.

We have all been called to be kings. However, when a king crawls, and is bound in chains, it means that he has been dethroned.

And it came to pass afterward ...

In the process of time- this did not happen in a day- Samson fell in love with a woman. We were not told how long it took for him to woo her, but it would have taken time for others to observe his advances towards her, and see that he was truly in love with her.

The enemy of your calling is also investigating to know who you love; and sometimes they will use that person to get to you- more specifically, the content in you.

They could not get the secret from Samson, but they could get to him through the one he loved.

And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him...

This woman did not live in the midst of the lords of the Philistines. Yet, they discovered her relationship with Samson, and sought her out. They did not go to when Samson would be around. Having studied him, they came to her at a time they knew he would not be around.

Now, these were not mere men. They were rulers fortified with the power of a god, and they were going to use their power to get what they wanted.

Delilah did not have a choice...

These men were not making a request. They had come with a charge, and it would have taken special grace for Delilah to say ‘no’.

Her assignment was not to kill him. No. Her job was to find out the content in him, by which he was able to kill them with considerable ease.

Secondly, they wanted to know how they (not she) may prevail against him.

Samson knew that Delilah did not have the capacity to cut off his locks and weaken him. Therefore, he could not have seen how telling her his secret would be of harm. He did not know about the visitation, and that she was no longer operating under the influence of love...

that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

They could not bind him until they had discovered his content and how to take it away.

The enemy you have been called to conquer is also investigating to know how to take away your power and bind you. Beware.

When a man is being afflicted, it is because he has been bound. There can be no affliction without there first being a binding...

And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart.

When Samson did reveal the secret of his content to her, Delilah could not do anything with the information herself. Instead, she sent for the Philistine lords because she had simply been carrying out their instruction.

Delilah did not kill Samson; the gods and lords of the Philistines killed him.

Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand. And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.

And she made him sleep...

Before this day, it had not been recorded that Delilah made Samson sleep. How then was she able to get him to sleep exactly when the Philistines needed him to?

The Philistine lords gave her the magical power with which to cause that big man to sleep. Once that was accomplished, she called for someone from the Philistines to cut off the 7 locks of hair on his head. Then, she afflicted him to weaken him.

The influence of the powers, gods and rulers of the Philistines on Delilah empowered her to afflict Samson and drain him of the content in him.

And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.

Poor Samson! He thought to go out and make mincemeat of the Philistines as he had done before. He did not know that his enemy had discovered his content and drained him of it!

But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house. Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.

And so it was that king Samson, who was once on the throne, was captured and bound.

Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand. And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us.

Their sacrifice to Dagon was not a mere ritual. They went back to the god that had given them the key to discovering and draining the content in their enemy. Now, that he had been captured, blinded and humiliated, it was only fitting that they sacrifice to their god in appreciation and display their enemy before Dagon.

If you fail to deal with the power of your household, it will use the one you love to bring you down.

And so it was that a king was dethroned and bound in fetters, because the gods of the Philistines gave them the key to discovering his content and draining him of it.

Job 37: 7

He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

God’s content is in you. It is in your blood, to prosper in all that you do, to overcome principalities and powers.

Palm readers know this, and capitalise on this mystery to investigate the content in you. They seek to unveil the content in you.

You have a responsibility to defend God’s content in you...

I Cor 8:5 (NIV)

For even if there are so called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords...

Isa 48:13,15

Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.

The Lord called you and brought you to your household, and He is committed to make your way prosperous. Therefore you have access, in the name of Jesus, to summon the heavens and the earth against every power, ruler or god, fighting to destroy the divine content in you.

They are waiting to execute your judgement, so it is up to you to speak...

In the name of Jesus,

  • God’s content is in me, to succeed in all that He has called me to be.
  • My life, receive the fire to sustain God’s content in me.
  • My body and soul- my life, swallow the raw fire of God.
  • Any devil, judgement or wicked power, on assignment to dethrone me, I dethrone and destroy you by fire.
  • Any power using the ones I love against me; I bury you by fire.
  • Wicked powers, rulers, gods, rising to destroy God’s content in me; you are liars. I bring you down and waste you by fire.
  • O heavens, hear me and hear me well. Any power, ruler or god in the heavens called to destroy what God put in me; heavens, waste them now, in the name of Jesus.
  • O earth and under-the-earth, hear me and hear me well. Any power, ruler or god in the heavens called to destroy what God put in me; O earth, waste them now, in the name of Jesus.
  • O heavens, earth and under-the-earth, hear me and hear me well. Any power, ruler or god in the heavens, earth or under the earth using those I love to destroy what God put in me; O heavens, earth and under-the-earth, waste them now, in the name of Jesus.

We have learnt the importance of knowing the true identity of the One who has called you- His nature and power. That way, you frustrate any evil agenda to give you trash, and you walk in the confident assurance that God’s power is sufficient.

Knowing the true identity of the caller is also important because the caller determines the content of the called. The content- the ability, grace, value- that you carry is determined by the One who has called you.

When God is involved, your location and other logistics are unimportant. You will prosper in a desert when He is involved.

Judg 6:12

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

God is looking for a mighty man of ‘something’; be it of courage, wealth, knowledge, power, wisdom, innovation...

It does not matter what your present situation is; you need to see yourself as God sees you.

God calls Gideon a mighty man, full of valour- courage.

As a way of comparison, Boaz is called ‘a mighty man of wealth’ (Ruth 2:1).

This was in the same land that Elimelech, his kinsman and Naomi’s husband, left behind for Moab. Today, many are also leaving the truth for fraudulent practices because they claim there is no bread in truth.

And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

Gideon’s response to the revelation showed that he could not see himself as God did. God had looked into the content of his heart, but he struggled to believe His Word.

When God shows you the content of your life, your reaction does not change the truth- that you have called to save your household, from lack, limitation and oppression.

Isa 53: 1-3

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

The first step to walking in the reality of your calling is to believe the divine report. If God says He has raised you as a pillar in your family, but you are still crawling your way through life, it does not change the truth about the content of your life.

It is up to you to believe the Word He revealed to you- in your dreams or visions, and adjust to the divine reality.

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground:

When you believe His report, and wait on Him to give your life content, the good vision, the good thing He has spoken concerning you will grow and thrive, even on dry land.

You must understand that no one comes to God believing that he knows what it takes to do His work, and prospers. Whoever believes that he can speak, preach, or do business well will rush into things, and rush back out.

However, those who recognise that they do not know, will wait on God and seek His knowledge.

No matter how dry the situation of your life is at the moment, all you need do is wait for God to give your life its true content. Once He does, you will thrive.

he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

The circumstances or place of your birth, your financial history or situation; these are unimportant when God fills you.

The container may be unattractive, but the content will be too great to be ignored. Those who encounter you will be impacted by the wisdom, power and virtue that you carry.

Brethren, men despise you because they are yet to see the content in you. Therefore, you need to wait for your manufacturer- God- because He determines your content.

Until you wait for Him to speak, you will not know what you carry; and He only speaks by His word.

Eccl 10:10

If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength:

A dull axe was not originally so. It became dull. You, as God’s battle axe, can be made dull by the devil to keep you from succeeding in your assignment. A man, who eats without disciplined restraint or lacks financial discipline, is a dull axe.

Examine your life: where have you become dull?

The House of God is the place where blunt minds are sharpened. You are in church to have your brain, mind and life sharpened and made fit for your journey of success.

but wisdom is profitable to direct...

Wielding a dull axe demands using unnecessarily more time and strength, and this is a distraction.

The journey of success that was destined to take you 3years, if you let God sharpen your mind, could be prolonged otherwise. This means that many Christians stay long in suffering because of the dullness of their hearts.

God will not use a dull mind. Therefore, He will direct you to sharpen your brain and mind for maximum effect.

Isa 49:1-3

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me; And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

God gave Isaiah the content of his life from the womb. This was the same man who, once of dull mind, spoke with unclean lips. Now, his mouth has been sharpened for divine use.

God has made you a sharp sword, his weapon here on earth. He prepares you and keeps you in His bag, in preparation of the day when He will bring you forth and wield you against His enemies.

The more polished the weapon, the more glory it brings to God.

When you allow God to polish your brain, mind, He will be glorified in you. You must therefore deal ruthlessly with the power making your brain, mind, mouth and heart dull.

Heb 5:10-14

Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

God desires to talk to us; to teach us how to succeed even in most drought-like environment and situation, but many cannot hear Him because they have been made dull of hearing.

Brethren, you are called to succeed, to prosper, to excel more than your neighbours... Do not waste time struggling when you have been called to thrive. Seek the LORD; destroy the powers making your mind dull; receive the sharpening Word and prosper.

In the name of Jesus,

  • Father, I hand over my brain, mind, heart and mouth to You.
  • Fire of God, possess my life, to succeed in my assignment.
  • Any evil judgement or spell that makes my mind and brain dull, hear the judgement of the Lord; I uproot and destroy your power over my life.
  • Fire of God, sharpen my heart, brain and mind.
